It’s best for

For ages 25-45: Start early with non-invasive methods for better skin.

For ages 45-75: Support your skin and your wellbeing while going through hormonal changes.

This treatment is perfect for those feeling lost in the flood of information about the best path for skin and body health, feeling stressed, sad, tired, or burnt out.

The treatment experience

RELAX: The treatment will begin with deeply relaxing breath work to set you up for a powerful treatment.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE: During the warm-up, we use techniques to aid lymphatic drainage and help with fluid retention and detoxing.

FACIAL SCULPTING: As the treatment progresses, you will sense the sculpting of your facial muscles. This may involve using various techniques such as knuckling and rapid finger movements to warm up the muscles. Then, gentle skin pinching will be used to improve oxygenation and muscle tone. The massage is intended to enhance blood flow to various tissue depths with attention to muscle dynamics, working to tone and rejuvenate without the need for invasive measures.

BUCCAL MASSAGE: During this part of the massage, which typically lasts about 15 minutes, we will wear gloves and massage the buccal pad and the surrounding muscles, such as the masseter (the strongest muscle in the mouth). This involves squeezing and stretching the pad and muscles to help relive muscle tension and stimulate healthy muscle activation. This approach helps to achieve a sculpted appearance. (This part of the process is quite invasive and clients can opt out and replace with extra facial sculpting)

FINISHING TOUCHES: The final phase includes more lymphatic drainage followed by a stimulating deep scalp massage to reduce stress, tension and promote relaxation. We finish with bonus treatments to improve the appearance/texture of the skin.

Common questions

  • When preparing for a buccal massage, it's important to avoid getting the massage within two weeks of receiving filler or Botox to prevent the migration of the injections. You should also steer clear of any abrasive or ablative skin treatments in the weeks leading up to the massage, including services like lasers or microneedling. Additionally, it's advisable to refrain from getting the massage if you are in your first or third trimester of pregnancy, have broken skin from chronic conditions (such as acne, eczema, or psoriasis), or if the intraoral nature of the massage makes you uncomfortable.

  • By maintaining a regular routine at home, such as performing facial exercises or using a Gua Sha, one can extend the results for several weeks.

  • A buccal massage is a treatment that focuses on the buccal pad, which is a pouch of fat tissue located between the cheekbone and jaw. we will wear gloves and massage the buccal pad and the surrounding muscles, such as the masseter (the strongest muscle in the mouth). This involves stimulating and stretching the pad and muscles to help relive muscle tension and stimulate healthy muscle activation. This approach helps to achieve a sculpted, contoured, balanced and chiseled appearance. By working on the muscles, the massage helps to smooth them out and relax the tension holding them tight.

This type of massage is unique because it is intra-oral, meaning that we massage the inside of the client's mouth with gloved hands.

In addition to physical benefits, buccal massages can also offer emotional benefits. Our face is where all our emotions are expressed, and we hold tension there related to stress, sadness, anger, and happiness. By manually releasing that tension, you may also experience an emotional release.

    • Enhanced definition between the cheekbones and jawline

    • A more lifted and sculpted appearance

    • Relaxation of the facial muscles

    • Enhanced blood circulation

    • Brighter and more "awake" looking skin

    • Reduced pain stemming from temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) and tension headaches

    • Relief from sinusitis

    • Emotional stress relief

  • The effects of a buccal massage are visible right away and improve over the course of several days. The best results typically appear around days 2 and 3 following the treatment. By maintaining a regular routine at home, such as performing facial exercises or using a Gua Sha, one can extend the results for several weeks.

  • For the best results, we suggest having one treatment every week for 4 weeks, followed by a monthly treatment. This will significantly slow down the aging process and minimise the need for more invasive procedures in the future.

  • Treatments are invasive, but deeply relaxing. There is no pain involved.

  • There is no downtime associated with the treatments. You can resume all normal activities immediately after treatment.
